There are many corpses and wounded, every moment another casualty is added to the list of the dead, and there is no more room in the morgue.

Relatives search among the bodies and the wounded in order to bring the dead quickly to burial. A mother whose three school-age children were killed, and are piled one on top of the other in the morgue, screams and then cries, screams again and then is silent.

Mustapha Ibrahim saw all this on Saturday at one in the afternoon, at Shifa Hospital in Gaza. As a field investigator for a human rights organization, he thought he’d been immunized, but nothing prepared him for what he saw. Wounded people whose situation was less than serious were asked to leave Shifa, in order to free up beds.

E’ ferma intenzione della redazione far presente come il vero punto di forza dei progetti editoriali del nostro canale sia rappresentato dal lavoro continuo e incessante di un esiguo gruppo di lavoratori. La decisione di non rinnovare il contratto ad alcuni elementi non potrà che portare ad un indebolimento della qualità del lavoro della redazione stessa e conseguentemente dell’intera proposta editoriale di RED.

I dipendenti ed i collaboratori della NessunoTV S.p.A. invitano il proprio editore a tornare ad investire sul materiale umano da sempre a disposizione di quest’azienda e, ricordando quanto di buono fatto negli ultimi tre anni passati insieme sotto la testata giornalistica di NessunoTV prima e di RED poi (nonostante i poco competitivi mezzi di cui può oggi godere un’emittente satellitare nel nostro paese), auspicano:

- Il ritorno in organico dei quattro colleghi ai quali non è stato rinnovato il contratto.

Qui avevo scritto una cosa a cui tengo molto. E anche qui.

Oggi, doverosamente aggiungo che alcune delle persone ritratte in questa bella foto di gruppo non rientreranno a lavorare con noi a Gennaio.

Abbiamo davvero poco da festeggiare quest’anno.

Non so davvero quale possa essere una forma di protesta costruttiva per superare questo momento difficile. Siamo una redazione che fin dalla sua nascita ha sempre lavorato senza benefits e con pochi soldi. Non abbiamo optional a cui rinunciare. E la sua forza consiste proprio nel lavoro delle persone che hanno sempre affrontato tutte le prove insieme e con orgoglio.

Per questo spero che a Marta, Chiara e Domenica abbiamo detto solo arrivederci a presto, in redazione.

Per quelli che passano, sappiate che noi stiamo lavorando senza di loro, con un pezzo mancante.

la stagione dei monsoni

Benvenuti nella stagione dei monsoni, quando aria, acqua e vento proveranno a lavarvi via i cattivi pensieri. Attenzione però a non lasciarli gocciolare ai vostri piedi, come fanghiglia indelebile. Camminate, camminate svelti, di modo che l’acqua possa lucidare l’asfalto e spazzolare il mare.

comizio sul dissenso

Sono cambiate le forme del consenso e nessuno si è preoccupato di capire come cambiare le forme (e le formule) del dissenso. Così lo sciopero, che sia fatto di cortei e bandiere in piazza o di giornate senza shopping e telecomando, è stato relegato a espressione inutilmente ansiogena e demodé. Quali sono i modi per esprimere contrarietà in questo paese? Un voto contro? Uno slogan? Tutto superfluo. Tutto immediatamente additato come vacuo disfattismo.

Esprimere dissenso dovrebbe essere una forma articolata di sapere e di conoscenza.

Lo sciopero è sempre più visto come fonte di spreco, di tempo e di energie.

Possiamo anche mandarlo in soffitta per tutti i perchè e per come che vengono snocciolati (sproporzione, strumentalità, inerzia, pochezza della protesta). Perchè, in effetti, non essere d’accordo col pensiero comune, che viene spacciato per magggioranza,  diventa azione di per sé poco significativa, come se le cose scontate o banali banali, dovessero automaticamente avere consistenza o dignità numerica superiore e assoluta. Restituiamo dignità ad un’addizione?

Come si esprime dissenso nel nuovo millenio? Certo è vero, se un radicale libero fa lo sciopero della sete e della fame, signori non siamo più negli anni ottanta, nemmeno ai bambini si dice più “mangia perchè in Africa ci sono i bambini che muoiono di fame”. Però, utilizzare un sms per i bisognosi anzichè per una nuova suoneria del telefonino è una formula efficace.

Come si esprime il dissenso nel nuovo millennio? Lo sciopero dei lavoratori…No. Si dice.

Io credo invece che disfarsi del sindacato e del suo armamentario sia un disegno preciso. Certo, con questa opposizione (come direbbe il cavaliere) si vince a tavolino. Ma non è un bel modo di vincere. E non è giocare. E non c’è nessuno che abbia  trovato un modo più o meno articolato, più o meno consapevole, di dire IO NON SONO D’ACCORDO.

Allora facciamo così, questo blog aderisce moralmente al significato storico di “sciopero dei lavoratori”. Perchè è importante. Perchè cento e più anni di relazioni sindacali non si possono confinare a cattiva rappresentazione e obsolete e inutili forme del dissenso.

Sulle nuove forme del consenso poi, se ne potrebbe parlare, questo innamoramento per le elezioni primarie, parliamone…nella migliore delle ipotesi si risolvono in un plebiscito. Non mi sembra la manifestazione più articolata di sapere e conoscenza, in una parola, di democrazia.

segni che la fine del mondo purtroppo è lontana

Momenti di inerzia.

Negli ultimi anni alcune persone (poche) si sono arricchite scommettendo sui debiti di (molte) altre che sono rimasti con il cerino in mano, in un meccanismo piramidale dove, appunto, i cerini scottano.

In un certo senso a wall street negli ultimi 8 anni si è applicato il socialismo reale.

a chi importa?

Quelli che muoiono andando a lavorare.
Quelli che muoiono in autostrada.
Quelli che muoiono in ospedale, per sbaglio.
Queste cose dovrebbero interrompere le nostre giornate.
Le persone che hanno meno soldi hanno meno scelta.
Le persone che possono sceglire dovrebbero sentirlo come dovere morale.

Essere fortunati, aver studiato, dovrebbe renderci migliori. Dovrebbe, davvero.

Da quando lavoro in centro, durante la pausa pranzo posso camminare per delle stradine meravigliose, dove si scoprono palazzi e cortili e vetrate e rampicanti bellissimi. Ho scoperto che due di queste piazzette minuscole, lastricate, sono la casa di due persone. In centro non ci sono i cassonetti in cui alcuni frugano, come mi è capitato di vedere nella più popolare, e sporca, via Ostiense. Però ci sono le persone che vivono per strada. Tutto quello che ho sentito dire negli ultimi mesi, sui poveri, è che sono brutti da vedere e che ad alcuni si potrà dare un bancomat sociale.

Avendo traslocato da poco per andare a vivere da sola mi sono fatta anch’io ingoiare da un autobus che porta al centro commerciale. Ci sono sciami di ragazzini che vanno al centro commerciale. Vestiti tutti allo stesso modo. Che prendono questi autobus diretti verso il nulla. In aperta campagna si potrebbe dire se non ci fossero solo case al posto delle mucche. Al ritorno questo pomeriggio sono saliti cinque o sei ragazzini. Un gruppo di tre si è venuto a mettere dov’ero io con la busta di ikea e l’ombrello gocciolanti di pioggia. E la loro conversazione era più forte della musica nell’Ipod che mi ha distratta solo qualche volta.

Un ragazzo alto in piedi chiede all’amico seduto di fronte:

-Ma tu li hai fatti quindici anni?

-Sì, come, il 23 ottobre.(E questo ragazzino è tutto vestito di nero, con il berretto di lana nera rasata e una scritta bianca sul bavero del giubbotto, ha la pelle liscia, è magrolino e ha un naso grosso)

-E non ce l’hai la carta d’identità? (Questo qui ha i piedi grossi con le scarpe da ginnastica bianche come gli altri due e la carnagione olivastra e gli occhi nocciola)

Altro ragazzino seduto di fianco a quello in piedi, con le labbra carnose e l’acne sulle guance, l’aria più innocente del mondo:

-Guarda che dura 10 anni la carta d’identità, io a 25 sarò ancora con questa foto.

Ragazzo in piedi: -No per lavorare vale 5 anni. Io sono il primo del gruppo che lavora…?

Ragazzo seduto di fianco, con i capelli mossi, gli occhi verdi e tanti brufoli: -Oh guarda quaatterra c’è una carta d’identità strappata.

Ne prende qualche pezzetto e legge un pezzo di nome che suona arabo.

Passa una voce dal fondo dell’autobus per chiedere chi ha sigarette.

-No non ne ho. Dopo le prendiamo.

-Non comprare le… (non ho capito le due o tre marche che dice, perchè forse lì è stata più forte la musica, e il guardare fuori, che è buio e piove e non sono certa di riconoscere a che punto del percorso è arrivato l’autobus).

-Ieri mia mamma mi ha fatto così incazzare che le ho fregato una Kim.

-Le kim sono da gay, allora le Capri…ma come le tieni?

-Sì ma se tua mamma ti fa così incazzare e ti viene voglia di fumare..

-Per sentirle in bocca le kim devi strappare il filtro a metà solo così le puoi fumare…che diceva coso, che ha iniziato in terza elementare, ma quante palle dice?

-Oh a quell’età lì, hai sette anni, che ne sai delle sigarette?

-Forse quelle di cioccolato…

-Fatemi capire ci sono le sigarette di cioccolato?

-Sì quelle che ti portano a carnevale. Ti ricodri quelle caramelle dei Simpson dell’altr’anno?

-Oh ma voi vi siete portati soldi?

-No, io no..

-Io ho il resto di oggi, che so’ 5 euro

-Io ho 3 euro.

E poi sono scesi alla loro fermata.
